Underwriting profit increased by 76% from BD. 878,400 in Q2 2007 to BD. 1,547,163 for the same period this year.

Insurance Commissioner Poizner Announces Arrest Of Scam Artist For Stealing More Than $163,000

VENTURA - Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner today announced the arrest of a Ventura resident for grand theft of more than $163,000. Angela Meza, 45, was arrested today at her home by California Department of Insurance investigators. Meza was booked at the Ventura County jail.

"Fraud perpetrators will not get away with scamming honest Californians out of their money, or risking the health coverage of others for personal gain," said Commissioner Poizner. "Department of Insurance investigators are continuously following leads to capture criminals attempting to cheat the system."
